The stock market is at its pre-recession levels. But the job market will take at least another 4 or 6 years to return to less than 6% unemployment.
Why is that not translating into companies expanding operations and hiring people?
We still have the same amount of jobs today as we did in January 2009. This is not a knock on Obama. Just wondering why the job market and the stock market do not go hand in hand.
If it is a leading indicator, it is lapping the Job Market.
This is what happens when you build and encourage an economy built on spending rather than investing…
Everyday you’ll hear an under-educated kid here preach how it is "demand" that drives the economy… and supply-side systems like "Reganomics" is a sham…
..but the simple fact is that it’s better to give $100,000 to give to a single person to start up a business than it is to give $1,000 to 100 different people…10,000 kids demanding iPhones does not add a single job to the US economy..
"Jobs" require "Job Creators"…. but in today’s world that’s a bad word… along with "Wealth" "Success" and "Accountability."
No place else to get a decent return the Fed keeps interest rates so low the market has to go up.
