Gerald Celente on China surpassing US global economic dominance

America’s global economic dominance seems to be slipping away for the first time since the end of World War II. According to the US Commerce Department, China surpassed the US in import and exports in 2012. Many economic experts believe that China will become the world’s economic super power by 2030 and claim this is just the first step in the process. Gerald Celente, publisher of The Trends Journal, gives us his take on China’s role in the global economy.

    Its simple, China …
Its simple, China has state issued debt-free money. The US has private monopoly central-banking.

    This loser is …
This loser is either a liar or a moron. China is on the verge of a cataclysmic economic collapse, and America is recovering from the bush/republican catastrophe ahead of the world.

    But man, the …
But man, the internet backbone is in the states. Unless create a sort of super wireless electromagnetic internet that has its servers in China, etc. well, then they won’t be able to be great in services.
I know most computers are made in China, but they are designed by US multinationals. It would be hard for China to counter that with something more advanced.

    I don’t know what …
I don’t know what you mean by monopoly in communications. As far as computers, where are they all made? In China. In communications, most cellphones are made in China or Korea.

I don’t think the financial sector contributes anything to the world, despite their propaganda. They are just the brain of the parasite.

“Service sector” is just nice way to say consumption, i.e. that the US economy is based on trading worthless US dollars for tangible goods the rest of the world has produced.

But the US has an …
But the US has an almost monopoly in communications and computers, plus they investing firms and banks are all around the world possessing a ood chunk of shares : they service sector is superior to China.

Is goignt o be before. War or some “critical” technological advance is the US only hope.

    The US spent 6.9 …
The US spent 6.9 trillion in 2012 not 1.2. GDP is negative when using real CPI numbers. The lifeblood of Americas economy is legalized plunder, disease and drugs. GAAP debt is over 120 trillion. Government must keep spending to keep the economy from crashing. but this cannot last. The longer they spend the worse it will be.

The only difference between the putrified stranded carnival ship and American ship is when the latter’s economic engine blows there will be no rescue.

    USA is still No.1 …
USA is still No.1 in GDP but not in terms of GDP per capita. There are many other countries rank above USA in terms of per capita. Qatar, the Scandinavian countries, Singapore, Brunei, etc. But GDP or even GDP per capita doesn’t tell the whols story. In short, such measurements are at best an indication, not a great measurement of the overall well-being of the country and its citizens.

    Laying our …
Laying our chauvinistic feelings aside…what exactly does the US produce for the world? Apart from perpetual war? Like Celente said, US consumption lies at the heart of the current system. When something only consumes what others have produced, that is called parasitic behavior.

  14. MikeV555 Feb 20th, 2013 @ 11:18 | #14

    Putin is a …
Putin is a and a rat, America is no “parasite.” But you are correct in your GDP assertions: the index s pure crap. China’s GDP is lower because they artificially deflate their currency and the US dollar is the reserve currency.

    “China’s GDP is …
“China’s GDP is half the US, so how does it have a much larger trading volume?”

Because US GDP is nothing but AIR. It is an illusion. China actually produces goods, the US does not — apart from arms. It uses those arms to force the world to accept its fiat dollar as the world’s reserve currency, keeping its air-inflated economy aloft.

Putin was right when he said the US was “a parasite on the global economy.”
